Pandemic Emergency Status Ending

It’s been just over 3 years since the start of the pandemic and SARS-COV-2 has established itself as a member of our line-up of respiratory viruses. While the WHO declared that COVID-19 is no longer a global health emergency and the US is set to end it’s emergency declaration this week, SARS-COV-2 will remain a circulating virus for years to come.

Because of this, I think this week is the perfect time to ask yourself what intentions you will set for you and your family going forward when it comes to trying to reduce spread of infectious disease and staying healthy. It had been a very long time since the world had experienced a pandemic and it seemed like we weren’t ready in a lot of ways for this one. I hope we can keep some of what we’ve learned in our everyday practice so we reduce harm in the present and are more ready for the next pandemic of our future.

I’ve listed out some of the main things I plan to do going forward, despite the pandemic being “over”.

I ask you to comment what things you most likely will also keep doing and any others I didn’t list!
