Science with Anni has been the follow of the year for me. I have a background in clinical & research laboratory science, and wanted an apporachable way to explain science to my friends and loved ones. There have been countless times that I have swiped through one of her impeccably made posts and learned something new, solidified knowledge I already had, or found a new way to explain a complex concept. Bridging the scientific knowledge gap the last two years has been daunting; Anni does an amazing job of explaining nuanced studies and sharing facts in a palatable way. Grateful for her comprehensive knowledge and creative artistic abilites to bring science to life!

Anni has a deep understanding on scientific health topics and commicates them to other so that they aren’t ‘dumbed down’ versions that leave me still unable to understand a new conversation with someone about these topics but instead they are simplified explanations so I can understand what’s going on. She also uses the context of those who don’t work in biological sciences (like me!), so that more than just a list of things I should have learned in middle school and highschool biology, I know why they are important and how they impact me every day. This page not only gives me more knowledge, it empowers me to make decisions because I know why I am making them. Also a good place for leaving behind arguing and just learning! (Favs for self informed decisions and just looking at what’s going on instead of who’s right, are the ‘You can be here’ series and posts like how it’s not if masks do or don’t work but how well they work for what).

Sciencewithanni is an awesome account that is easy to follow for all health literacy levels. Anni keeps up with the ever changing literature and displays the data in creative, visual ways. Her content is always timely, factual, and most importantly non-judgmental which allows it to reach all audiences. Her posts are great to use as a tool to help educate yourself and others. Anni also actively interacts with her followers of all different views, answering questions on every post. She masterfully combines her expertise in science and imagination.

There is not much that is more important in these pandemic times than clear insights into the science and medicine that most people have not dealt with before in their lives. Dr. Evans (Anni!) has done an amazing job of making the science and medicine easily comprehensible to the lay person, in terms that are understandable to a non-expert. All with good spirits and a smile. No matter how many times she’s asked the same question. I don’t have a lot of spare bandwidth in my life, but I follow her channel for insights I may not have.
