For International Women and Girls in Science Day 2023 I am highlighting a handful of modern-day women in biotech! Even as a female scientist I was still overwhelmed with pride diving deeper into the expansiveness of women in biotech leadership positions. While we still have so much work to do when it comes to creating a culture that fosters equality in career development, there is already an impressive group of women who are paving the way!
As a fun personal note – two of these women have been close mentors of mine! Junghae Suh was my PhD advisor at Rice University and Marina Feschenko was my first manager in Biotech (analytical development)! I am grateful for their examples to me.
