We’ve talked about the flu vaccine here before but we focused much more on vaccine design!
In this post I talk more about flu vaccine coverage – what can you expect your annual shot to cover, how the coverage is determined, and why! I also go over the history of flu vaccine efficacy and what this seasons efficacy is predicted to be like!
The more you know, the better! And I think I’m the case of the flu vaccine, understanding the complexity of predicting a good coverage strain combination and knowing that your booster covers multiple groups of viruses, provides so much context for making your decision to get updated flu immunity each year.
I recommend getting your booster. We’re seeing very high levels of several respiratory viruses this season and it can only help protect you and your community to get it.
