Of note, while we describe P.1 (Brazil) transmissibility, lethality, and immune evasion as mostly “not established”, recent findings are showing that it is quite problematic. Increased transmission, increased mortality rates, partially evades immunity, and re-infection rates also appear to increase. This is furthering the major public health crisis in Brazil. And as it spreads, it will lead to increased concern in those countries as well.
